After a long and painful day at work, I ran over to a friend's house to use his iJoy massage chair. It's not as good as a migun bed, but it's much much cheaper for a decent massage. It's convenient to come home from a stressful day at work and just get a great massage to wind down.
It takes a little while to get used to it, but after your first massage sitting you realize how deep of a massage you actually get. It's wonderful! Gonna get me one of these for my birthday this year -- check it out:
Some people will ask if you get a decent massage in a chair like this...I recommend going to your nearest iJoys dealer and test one out. You'll be impressed at the quality of massage that you get.
Jade carries great mystical and magical stories with it. Since these massage beds utilize Jade massage heads, I thought I would delve into the history of Jade for a moment in regards to healing and massage.
Jade is considered an ornamental stone and the word is derived from the Spanish term 'cholo' or 'loin stone' because it was often used to assist ailments in the loin area and kidneys. I couldn't find specific instances of jade massage in regards to this particular area of study. And I didn't look too hard.
Jade was used for axes and weapons in the distant past (not massage but murder!). It is hard but can be easily shaped and polished with items such as bamboo (which is why you see jewelry too).
Jade is the official gemstone of British Columbia. In ancient China, Jade was considered an 'imperial gem' and was often used for serious ceremonies. The hard gemstone carries many interesting heat transmission properties. It was used very early on for massage and wellness.
In summary, Jade has always had a prestigious reputation and is still used today for a huge variety of purposes all around the world. Massage and jade are a doubly good massage 1-2 punch. Get your massage on!
What is it?
A bed that uses heat as an additive to the massage.
Why would I want a thermal massage bed?
Because heat increases blood flow. Ok, let's answer this question first - why does a massage feel good? A massage feels good because it stimulates and desensitizes nerves temporarily. It also releases toxins that are stuck in your muscles and tissue. These toxins will be carried away and discarded quicker with increased blood flow. Therefore, increased thermal heat, increased toxins thrown away (flushed in urine), and thus cleaner and more refreshed body tissue.
